About Us
HOST International Aotearoa New Zealand (HOST) is a New Zealand charity committed to collaborating with communities to design and implement alternative solutions to support displaced people on their journey to permanent protection.
We believe that social and economic inclusion and tūrangawaewae, a sense of place or belonging, are critical success indicators for former refugees and migrants who resettle in Aotearoa.
HOST International Aotearoa New Zealand (HOST) focuses on innovative employment and integration solutions for resettled former refugees, migrants, and asylum seekers. We specialise in fostering humanity, hope and dignity for resettled and host communities through activities that promote individual and community wellbeing.

HOST works alongside refugee and migrant background communities, employers, and wider host communities, striving to build strong economic and social cohesion for the successful settlement of newcomers.
Our Employment and Career Support work has generated various workshops, courses, and activities aimed at empowering refugees and migrants, seeking to diversify the workforce, and enhancing skills that contribute to the current needs of the labour market.

HOST is also the umbrella organisation for the Community Refugee Sponsorship (CORS) programme, working in partnership with Immigration New Zealand and sponsor organisations on welcoming and supporting sponsored refugees on their settlement journey in Aotearoa New Zealand.
